How often do I need to renew my California Medical Marijuana Card?

California medical marijuana recommendations are valid for one year and can be renewed online. We recommend renewing 7-10 business days before your expiration date to avoid a lapse in coverage.

A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $35 and you'll only be charged if approved. A physician-issued Leafwell patient ID card can be added for $24.
