How often do I need to renew my Puerto Rico Medical Marijuana Card?

Puerto Rico medical marijuana certificates are valid for one and can be renewed online.

Renewal consultations with Leafwell cost $99, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you renew with Leafwell, we'll send you a reminder 30 days before your certification expires so you have plenty of time to submit your renewal application to the state.

Here's a summary of the renewal process:

1. Sign in to Leafwell, or if you're new to Leafwell, register here.
2. Get approved, and the provider will submit your recommendation details directly to the state.
3. Within 48 business hours, the provider will upload a copy of your state registration details to Leafwell, and you will receive an email notification.
4. Apply for an Adult Patient Renewal (Paciente Adulto - Renevación) card with the Puerto Rico program. The state takes 15 days to review applications.
5. You will receive a notification on the state platform once approved and can then download your "voucher"(aka Medical Card).
