How often do I need to renew my Puerto Rico Medical Marijuana Card?
Puerto Rico medical marijuana certificates are valid for one and can be renewed online.
Renewal consultations with Leafwell cost $99, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you renew with Leafwell, we'll send you a reminder 30 days before your certification expires so you have plenty of time to submit your renewal application to the state.
Here's a summary of the renewal process:
- Sign in to Leafwell, or if you're new to Leafwell, register here.
- Get approved, and the provider will submit your recommendation details directly to the state.
- Within 48 business hours, the provider will upload a copy of your state registration details to Leafwell, and you will receive an email notification.
- Apply for an Adult Patient Renewal (Paciente Adulto - Renevación) card with the Puerto Rico program. The state takes 15 days to review applications.
- You will receive a notification on the state platform once approved and can then download your "voucher"(aka Medical Card).
