How often do I need to renew my Georgia Medical Marijuana Card?

Georgia medical marijuana certificates are valid for two years and can be renewed online.

A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $99, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you use Leafwell to renew your certificate, we’ll send you a reminder email one month before your certification is due to expire to make sure you avoid a lapse in coverage.

Here's a summary of the renewal process:

1. Sign in to Leafwell, or if you’re new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
2. Get approved and receive your certificate and waiver via email.
3. You must sign the waiver in the presence of a notary.
4. Send a copy of the notarized waiver back to Leafwell via email: documents@secure.leafwell.com.
5. The state will process your approval within 7-10 business days and reach out if additional documentation is required.
6. You will receive a call when your medical card is available for pickup from an arranged public health office. This may take up to 2-3 weeks.
