How often do I need to renew my New Mexico certificate?

New Mexico medical marijuana certificates are valid for two years and can be renewed online.

Renewal consultations with Leafwell cost $99, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you renew with Leafwell, we'll send you a reminder 30 days before your certification expires so you have plenty of time to complete your renewal application with the state.

Here's a summary of the renewal process:

1. Sign in to Leafwell, or if you’re new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
2. Speak to a New Mexico-licensed healthcare provider online and get approved.
3. You will receive an email from the state within 24 hours to complete your state application with the New Mexico Medical Cannabis Program.
   1. If your state card is still valid, you can continue using it.
   2. If your state card is expiring or has expired, you will receive your new digital card within 5 days.
