How often do I need to renew my Texas Medical Marijuana Card?
Texas medical marijuana certificates are valid for one year and can be renewed online.
A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $199 and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you use Leafwell, we'll send you a renewal reminder one month before your certificate expires so you can avoid a lapse in coverage.
Here's a summary of the renewal process:
-
Sign in to Leafwell, or if you’re new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
-
Speak with a Texas-licensed physician online and get approved.
-
Your physician will enter your details directly into the Compassionate Use Registry of Texas (CURT). As a reminder, there are no physical cards or certificates issued.
-
Go to your local dispensary and show your photo ID - they will verify your patient status in CURT.
Please note: If you are seeing a new physician, you will need to request that your previous physician terminate the relationship in CURT before your appointment.
