How often do I need to renew my Michigan Medical Marijuana Card?
Michigan medical marijuana certificates are valid for two years and can be renewed online.
A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $149, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you renew with Leafwell, we'll send you a reminder 60 days before your certificate expires to make sure you have plenty of time to submit your renewal application online.
Here's a summary of the renewal process:
- Sign in to Leafwell, or if you’re new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
- Speak to a Michigan-licensed provider online, get approved, and download your certification form.
- Log into the Michigan Medical Marijuana Program to link your existing registration record.
- Once your records are linked, complete the renewal application and pay the $40 state fee within 30 days.
- You will receive an email once your application has been processed, and your new card will arrive in the mail within 30 business days.
