How often do I need to renew my Minnesota Medical Marijuana Card?
Minnesota medical marijuana certificates are valid for one year and can be renewed online.
A renewal consultation with Leafwell costs $139, and you'll only be charged if approved. Plus, when you use Leafwell, we'll send you a renewal reminder 60 days before your certificate is due to expire to make sure you avoid a lapse in coverage.
Here's a summary of the renewal process:
- Sign in to Leafwell, or if you're new to Leafwell, register as a renewal patient here.
- Speak to a Minnesota-licensed healthcare provider online and get approved.
- Your provider will submit your certification to the state, and you'll receive an email from the Office of Medical Cannabis within 3 business days.
- Complete the re-enrollment application on the Minnesota Medical Marijuana Program website using the link from your email.
- Receive an approval email within 30 days. Complete a Patient Self-Evaluation form in your state account to purchase cannabis from a licensed medical dispensary.
