What medical conditions qualify for a Medical Marijuana Card in New Jersey?

In New Jersey, the following conditions may qualify you for a medical marijuana certificate and card:

  • Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), aka Lou Gehrig's Disease

  • Anxiety Disorders

  • Cancer

  • Chronic or Severe Pain

  • Crohn's Disease

  • Dysmenorrhea

  • Glaucoma (if resistant to conventional therapy)

  • HIV/AIDS

  • Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBDs, e.g. Ulcerative Colitis)

  • Intractable Skeletal-Muscular Spasticity

  • Migraine

  • Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

  • Muscular Dystrophy (MD)

  • Opioid Use Disorder

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD, if resistant to conventional therapy)

  • Seizure Disorders, including Epilepsy (if resistant to conventional therapy)

  • Terminal Illness (If the physician has determined a prognosis of less than 12 months of life)

  • Tourette Syndrome
