Once you've been approved for renewal by a Leafwell physician, you must submit a patient renewal application through the Puerto Rico medical cannabis license portal.

- Go to the state website: https://licenciacannabis.salud.pr.gov.
- Click on Entre in the top right corner located between Mi Licencia Digital and Registrese.
- Log in using your credentials to access your existing account.
- Click on Comenzar Solicitud.
- Click on Paciente Adulto (Renovacion).
- Use your Social Security number to match your profile with the certificate your physician entered into the system.
- Read and agree to the privacy policy.
- Upload a 2x2 passport-sized/style photo and a valid form of ID.
- Pay the $25 application fee.
- The state takes 15 days to review applications. You will receive a notification on the state platform when your application is approved. At that time, you can then download your “voucher” (aka medical card) by clicking Descargue su licencia (Download your license).
Please note: The state website may not be compatible with smartphones. We recommend completing the application on a different device (computer, laptop, tablet) if possible. If you only have access to a smartphone, complete the application by viewing it in landscape mode.
